Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Morris Prop AL 1 LLC (“Sanctifo”, “we”, “us”), covering your use of sanctifo.com and everything on it. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Sanctifo.

1. What Sanctifo is

Sanctifo turns material you provide — a Bible passage, a PDF, a sermon transcript, your own notes — into study material: summaries, sections you work through, flashcards, quizzes, cross references, background notes and a place to write.

Sanctifo is a study aid. It is not a church, not pastoral care, not counselling, and not a substitute for any of them.

2. Study material is generated by AI

Sanctifo uses artificial intelligence to produce study material. Sections, flashcards, quiz questions, explanations, cross references and background notes are generated by a language model. They are not written or reviewed by a person before you see them.

We do build for this. Scripture quoted inside Sanctifo is not written by the model: every reference is checked against the canon, the verse text is fetched from our Bible provider, and anything we cannot confirm is dropped rather than shown. That protects the quotations. It does not make the surrounding commentary correct, and you should not rely on it for doctrine, counselling, or teaching without checking it yourself.

3. Who may use it

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you are under 18, you may use Sanctifo only with a parent or guardian's permission.
• You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live.
• You must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law or sanctions.

4. Your account

• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Do not share an account or transfer it to someone else.
• Tell us at business@sanctifo.com as soon as you think someone else has access to your account.

5. Trial, price and billing

• New accounts get a 3-day free trial. You are not charged during it.
• After the trial, Sanctifo is $9.99 per month, charged automatically each month until you cancel.
• Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply where you live.
• If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
• If a payment fails, we may retry it. Your access may pause until it succeeds.

6. Cancelling and refunds

• You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future charges.
• You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• If you were charged and did not mean to be, email us within 14 days and we will refund you. We would rather refund you than argue about it.
• Beyond that, payments already made are generally not refundable, except where the law where you live says otherwise. Nothing here removes those rights.

7. What you upload

You keep ownership of everything you add — passages, files, transcripts, notes. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy and process it solely to run Sanctifo for you: producing your study material, showing it back to you, and keeping it safe. That licence ends when you delete the material or close your account.

We do not use your material to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not show it to other users.

8. Copyright and takedowns

Only upload material you have the right to use. A book, a sermon recording, a study guide or an article is usually a copyrighted work belonging to someone. Uploading a copy for your own private study is generally fine; uploading material you have no right to, or redistributing what Sanctifo produces from it, may not be. That responsibility is yours.

If you own something that has been uploaded: email business@sanctifo.com with a description of the work, where it appears in Sanctifo, your contact details, and a statement that you believe the use is not authorised. We will investigate promptly and remove material where the claim is good. We close the accounts of people who do this repeatedly.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to upload.
• Use Sanctifo to produce material that harasses, defames, or targets any person or group.
• Try to make the AI produce content that misrepresents Scripture, or present generated material as if it were Scripture or as if a person or church had authored it.
• Automate requests, scrape the service, or resell access.
• Work around usage limits, rate limits, or the paywall.
• Attempt to access another person's studies, notes or account.
• Probe, scan, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it.

Generating study material costs us money each time, so these limits are real rather than decorative. We may suspend an account that breaks them, and we will tell you why.

10. Our intellectual property

Sanctifo's name, logo, software, design, and the wording of the service belong to us. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of it. You may use the study material Sanctifo generates for you freely, including in your own teaching, provided you do not present it as Scripture and you comply with the rights in any source you used.

11. Bible text

Bible text is supplied by API.Bible and remains subject to the rights of its publishers. Translations are shown with their copyright notice where one applies. Your use of that text through Sanctifo is for personal study.

12. Services we rely on

Sanctifo runs on services provided by others, including Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, API.Bible, Supadata, Stripe and Resend. What each of them receives is set out in our Privacy PolicyRefund Policy. We are not responsible for their own services, and their outages may affect ours.

12a. Advertising and cookies

We advertise Sanctifo on Facebook and Instagram. With your permission, a Meta advertising cookie tells us which ads bring people here. It loads only after you agree, it never receives your study material, and you can withdraw at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as a refusal and do not ask.

Nothing about the service depends on agreeing. Sanctifo works identically either way, and we will never withhold a feature, change your price, or treat you differently because you said no. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

13. Availability and changes

We work to keep Sanctifo available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, or change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect.

14. Suspension and ending your account

• You may close your account at any time by emailing us. Your studies and notes are deleted with it.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we must for legal reasons. Except where that is impossible, we will explain why and give you a chance to put it right.
• If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

15. Disclaimers

Sanctifo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated study material is accurate, complete, or theologically sound.

Decisions of faith and doctrine are yours, taken with your own reading of Scripture and the counsel of your church. Nothing Sanctifo produces is spiritual, legal, medical, financial or psychological advice.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Sanctifo.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Sanctifo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they do not apply to you, and nothing here removes rights you have under the law where you live.

17. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of material you uploaded, your use of Sanctifo, or your breach of these terms.

18. If something goes wrong between us

Please email business@sanctifo.com first. Almost everything is settled that way, quickly, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it. We will respond within 14 days.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local court, and any right you have as a consumer.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Where you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.

20. General terms

• Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Sanctifo.
• Severability. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to.
• Assignment. You may not transfer these terms. We may, if Sanctifo is sold or merged, and we will tell you.
• Notices. We contact you at the email on your account. Contact us at the address below.
